Research Citation & Reproduction Policy
Listed below are the Patricia Seybold Group's policies regarding
our published research. All of the Patricia Seybold Group's published
research is subject to trademark and copyright protection.
1. CITATION POLICY
The Patricia Seybold Group's policy around citing
published research is based on the philosophy that "if we
wrote it, you can quote it". Certain requirements apply as
outlined below.
- All citations must be limited in scope. Full reproduction
is prohibited.
- All citations must come directly from our published research.
Our analysts do not provide direct quotes for client materials.
- All citations must be accurate and cited verbatim within
the appropriate context.
- All citations must be attributed in the following manner:
Title, Patricia Seybold Group, Inc., Date.
- All citations must be extracted from our research that is
published within the last 12 months.
Use That Does Not Require Approval
- Clients may include a copy or slide of each product comparison,
graphic, table, or portion of text less than a paragraph from the published
research in internal presentations only, provided that all such citations
adhere to our Citation Policy.
- Members of the press may use portions of our published research
without our approval. Please visit our Press Room for more information.
Use That Does Require Approval
- All external or commercial citation of our published
research, including without limitation:
- uses in advertisements, press releases, and marketing
and/or sales collateral either in print or electronically;
- uses in legal documents;
- In most cases, all full reproductions and/or
distributions of our published research are generally prohibited
unless reprint

2. REPRODUCTION POLICY
Reproduction That Does Not Require Approval
- Clients may make one attributed copy on paper and store
one copy in electronic form for their personal, non-commercial use. Additional
reproduction is strictly prohibited.
- Research that is clearly marked in the document that it
may be reproduced and/or shared with others.
Reproduction That Does Require Approval
- Unless otherwise noted in the document, the Patricia
Seybold Group does not allow the following uses of its published research
without prior approval:
- Storing electronic copies of our published research on a
networked system.
- Scanning or importing published research into an electronic
format.
- Mass distribution through electronic transmission such as
email
- Distributing copies of our published research to customers
or prospective customers.
- Posting complete documents or partial sections on an Internet
or intranet site without the purchase of reprints.
- Placing our research on a Web site other than one belonging
to Patricia Seybold Group.
